The Department of Geriatrics at Aarhus University Hospital is visionary and progressive in treatment, education and research on complex medical diseases in frail older patients with acute illness. The dedicated staff works patient-centered and interdisciplinary. Focus is on coherent patient pathways across the departments in the hospital but also on early discharge planning and follow-up at home to ensure continuity and optimal treatment of care during the transfer.
