Aim

To validate a newly developed method for measuring abdominal muscle strength.

Hypothesis

Frame fixed hand-held dynamometer is a reliable method for measuring abdominal muscle strength.

Material and methods

Fifty healthy female volunteers employed in health care are tested twice at weekly intervals. Half of the women were also tested twice the first day.
