Quantitative myocardial perfusion with 82Rb-PET/CT in patients with ischemic heart disease: clinical validation with 15O-water PET/CT (RUBIVA study)

Background: Methods have been developed forderiving absolute quantification of myocardial blood flow from82Rb-PET. However, 82Rb-PET quantification has not yet been compared to the golden standard 15O-water in patients with known ischemic heart disease. This validation is an important step towards the use of absolute flow values in daily clinical routine.
Objectives: To validate 82Rb-PET measured myocardial perfusion absolute values in relation to perfusion values measured with the golden standard 15O-water in patients with known ischemic heart disease.
