Clinical and experimental studies to validate the use of 3D imaging in the craniofacial and dentofacial region are conducted. In particular, the use of 3D reconstructed CT, conebeam CT or MRI scans and the use of physical 3D models are studied. These studies include the development of software to simulate and plan orthognathic surgery.
