Radiology Research Unit
Radiology research takes place at Department of Radiology and covers oncological, musculoskeletal, chest, urogenital, abdominal, paediatric and interventional radiology. Our aims are to
- develop and validate new diagnostic methods
- understand underlying disease mechanisms
- develop and validate new interventional procedures
- participate in clinical trials to improve patient management.
Our research encompasses clinical as well as animal studies.
The Radiology Research Unit has dedicated facilities, including a research area with offices and workstations in addition to dedicated research time in the clinical sections at spectral CT scanners, 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla MR systems and equipment for ultrasonography and radiography.
