The Research Clinic on Gambling Disorders is highly specialised in diagnosing and treating patients suffering from pathological gambling. The clinic aims at integrating treatment, prevention and research on gambling disorders.
Patients are referred to the clinic by their general practitioner or by other health authorities. Patients and relatives can also contact the clinic directly. Patients are treated as outpatients.
The clinic collaborates with national and international health and research centres.
We focus on:
- Treatment of patients suffering from pathological gambling, counselling of relatives and assessment of intervention methods
- Prevention of and information on pathological gambling, including contact to professionals (practitioners, psychologists, social workers), and initiatives in the area of ”responsible gambling” in the gambling industry
- Research in pathological gambling in collaboration with leading international scientists
