Blood pressure key to good outcomes in stroke thrombectomy

Both low and high levels of blood pressure during endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke are associated with poor functional outcome, a new study from Aarhus University Hospital suggests.
- Our study has very clinically relevant findings — that best outcomes are achieved if the mean arterial blood pressure [MABP] is kept between 70-90 mm Hg, lead author Mads Rasmussen, MD, PhD, Aarhus University Hospital, told Medscape Medical News.
