The strategy embraces both research and development activities in the period 2022-2026. Our vision is that these activities should contribute to improving the patients' health condition within the three ICF levels of human functioning; body functions and structures, activities and participation. Furthermore, research and development should be anchored in the clinic, involve patients and their relatives, and implementation strategies must be considered form the start.

In the period from 2022-2026, our research focus will be particularly on the following areas:

• differentiated efforts to improve equality in health
• new tasks within physiotherapy and occupational therapy
• health technology
• cross-sectorial collaboration with other hospital departments, regions and municipalities
• measurement methods in an acute hospital setting
• involvement in strategic initiatives
