From basic to advanced experiments

Research at the Department of Renal Medicine spans from basic science over rodent and pig experiments to clinical trials and epidemiological studies. The department has its own laboratory and a close collaboration with other laboratories locally, nationally and internationally.

With the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University we perform animal experiments including pig renal transplantations in joint research facilities. High quality Danish databases are used for epidemiologic studies in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Epidemiology.
