100 participants gathered for the DCPT scientific symposium on June 19. A clear focus was on national and Scandinavian collaborative potentials with the common objective of gathering more clinical evidence for proton therapy.

The morning programme centred around current activities at DCPT including patient treatments, patient perspectives, FLASH, spatially fractionated proton therapy, linear energy transfer (LET) and relative biological effectiveness (RBE), artificial intelligence implementation and clinical trials.

In the afternoon, our colleauges from Norway and Sweden presented potential collaborative studies, and we discussed how to create evidence for protons ‘the Scandinavian way’ – but also with European and international perspectives.

The full-day programme ended with tours and project presentations at the Danish Centre for Particle Therapy. Thank you to everyone who participated and presented!
