In haemodialysis our research is mainly focused on clinical issues related to dialysis, eg. cardiovascular conditions and residual renal function, intradialytic hemodynamics, dialysis access and quality of life.

Peritoneal dialysis is a well-established dialysis modality in Aarhus; the research in the field during the last years has mainly focussed on unplanned start on peritoneal dialysis, assisted Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (aAPD) and the Influence of predialysis factors on the initial course of dialysis (Peridialysis).

Developing a shared decision-making intervention for having dialysis or conservative kidney management pathway and implementing routine monitoring of patients with CKD V symptoms using a patient reported outcome (PRO) tool. A nationwide collaboration project.
