A life with dignity for patients and relatives from the very beginning to the end of the chronic kidney disease, with or without dialysis treatments

The overall aim of this research project is to contribute to a life with dignity from the very beginning to the end with or without dialysis treatments, for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 5.
The project consists of two distinct but related workstreams, to:

  1. Develop and test a complex intervention supporting people with CKD stage 5 decisions to have or not have dialysis treatments.
  2. Monitor systematically patient reported symptoms to identify effective treatment from symptom-cluster analyses for patients with CKD stage 5 having or not having dialysis.
