The Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care is internationally acknowledged and renowned for our state-of-the-art services meeting the highest international standards within almost all specialised fields of anaesthesiology and intensive care.
We participate in international research networks and collaborate closely with a number of specialised departments at Aarhus University Hospital and Aarhus University. We are also very dedicated to pre- and post-graduate training and education.
Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care includes five individual departments at Aarhus University Hospital, each of which covers specific medical fields, and with its own individual management team:

Our highly specialized departments are involved in a variety of clinical treatments for adults and children, all of which can be tailored to meet specific patient needs. The list below shows some of our services:

- point-of-care ultrasound for intervention procedures, including regional anaesthesia, and bedside diagnostics
