Indication | Suspicion of chromosomal aberration in the fetus. |
| Specimen | > 20 mg chorion villi cells. |
| Analysis | We count 10 metaphases in Q-banding of which 4 are analyzed. Urgent aneuploid-screening with QF-PCR will always be preformed. In special cases (eg known familial translocations and other structural abnormalities) a chromosome analysis will be performed after 24 h incubation of CVS tissue in stead. |
| Delivery | Monday to Thursday (before 14.00), Friday before 10.30. Urgent samples by appointment, call: 8949 9257. OBS the sample must be received by the laboratory at the latest, the day after it was taken |
| Turn around time | 48 hours (QF-PCR) and 2 weeks (chromosome analusis). |
