Department of Functional Disorders is specialized in diagnosing and treating patients with functional disorders and health anxiety.
Patients are referred to the department by their general practitioner and are treated as outpatients.
We aim to be among the leading departments within the field of functional disorders and health anxiety as well as having the greatest knowledge of clinical, psychological, social and cultural aspects of the area.
Research
The department conducts research in functional disorders and health anxiety within diagnostics, causes, prevalence, treatment, health services, illness perception, illness behaviour, sociocultural circumstances and others.
Our research activities take a multidisciplinary approach in collaboration with leading Danish and international scientists.
