Do you want to be part of a national project that aims to change the current practice of treating brain cancer patients? Apply for the PhD position within deep learning and imaging to individualise radiotherapy for glioblastoma.

Glioblastoma is the most aggressive infiltrative form of brain cancer with a very poor prognosis. It infiltrates the healthy tissue in the brain and current imaging is unable to visualise this microscopic extent of the tumour. In this position, you will be working to improve on a tumour growth model that includes all relevant information (imaging and clinical) using mathematical modelling and advanced Deep Learning techniques.

The multidisciplinary project will take place at Aarhus University Hospital and is housed at the Danish Centre for Particle Therapy. The project will be solidly anchored in the Danish Neuro Oncology Group and you will be embedded in the research group of associate professor Jesper Kallehauge. The group is part of the joint oncology research environment, where more than 30 PhD students and postdocs and 10 senior full-time researchers are working together.

The application deadline is August 1.
