Department of Plastic and Breast Surgery consists of two sections: Plastic Surgery and Breast Surgery.

Department of Plastic and Breast Surgery is a tertiary referral center for most aspects of plastic surgery in Central Denmark Region including

• Melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer

• Breast surgery, breast cancer

• Breast  surgery, reconstruction and corrective surgery

• Congenital malformations including vascular malformations

• Reconstruction after soft-tissue loss including pressure ulcers

• Post-bariatric surgery after massive weight loss

• Advanced reconstructions including microsurgical procedures in the head and neck and lower extremity traumas

The department takes part in or chairs multidisciplinary conferences to ensure patient treatment is fast and at a high international level.

The department is in charge of the pre-graduate teaching of medical students as well as specialist postgraduate training in plastic surgery.
