The department has for many years participated in research encompassing CT imaging of lung disorders.

These studies include the usefulness of morphologic CT features to determine  lung nodules, the impact of contrast enhanced CT versus FDP-PET in lung cancer staging, functional CT in imaging of tracheomalacia, optimization of the imaging strategy in patients with suspected lung cancer, applicability? usefulness of texture analysis figures, CT-perfusion figures and spectral  CT figures in the characterisation of lung disorders.
