Research at the Endoscopy Unit focuses on:

1. Intraductal diagnostics and treatment of hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) disorders
2. Endoscopic and surgical management of chronic pancreatitis
3. Management of difficult benign and malignant stenoses and strictures in biliary and pancreatic ducts
4. Development of new endoscopic techniques and accessories in treatment of upper gastrointestinal and HPB disorders
5. EUS-guided and EUS-assisted endoscopic drainage and therapy for HPB disorders
6. Endoscopic ultrasound-guided drainage and treatment of peripancretic fluid collections
7. ERCP in bariatric patients
8. Endoscopic endolumenal treatment of achalasia, i.e. peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM)
