Clinical pharmacology is a cross-disciplinary speciality comprising counselling and instructions to promote an effective, safe and financially viable use of pharmacological products at all levels.

The department gives advice to all doctors in the Central Denmark Region and the North Denmark Region on drug use based on specific clinical problems.

The main tasks of Department of Pharmacology are:

• to give advice on pharmacological problems.
• to strengthen research, development and postgraduate education within use of pharmacological products.

The department educate medical specialists within clinical pharmacology.
