The Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics performs treatment and care within the field of gynaecology and obstetrics.
We conduct research at international level within these fields in collaboration with a wide range of national and international specialist departments. 

Patients in the department

We primarily treats patients from the Central Denmark Region. 
Patients with complex conditions from other parts of Denmark are also referred to the department.

Clinics and wards

The gynaecological area covers surgical and medical treatment of gynaecological diseases and consists of

• an outpatient clinic (4 teams)
• an acute clinic 
• an inpatient ward 
• surgical facilities

The obstetrics part includes

• a midwifery clinic
• a family clinic (regional)
• an ultrasound unit
• an acutte clinic
• three outpatient clinics
• a maternity/family ward
• an inpatient ward.
